Into the Depths

I am intrigued by the flower of the thistle plant.

Intrigued by the texture, by the colors and by the way light plays on the the delicate strands.

Despite the dangers of the dagger like thorns, I must get closer.

So close the colors become brush strokes on the canvas that is my camera lens.

Mr. Moon, Mr. Moon, I would like to Invite You to Tea

Mr. Moon

You are cordially invited for biscuits and tea
I do hope you have no conflicting plans
Though I realize the work you do with tides is always on your mind

Just think of the conversation we could have
As I sit on atop a mountain high above the world
I have so many questions but to be polite would ask only a few
Of the sights you have seen these billions of years
And what you think about your view

In turn I could show you a flower and describe it in great detail
If you like I could introduce you to my kitty, though she might be shy
We could joke about the myths believed by man
Of green cheese and the man in you
It would be oh so grand

So Mr. Moon if you can find the time
I do hope you will drop by
Otherwise I will just be content to watch you cross the sky

Awards are nice but what really makes them special is when they are given to you by a friend. Actually two good friends, Anne and Sasha the Sassy Shih Tzu have presented this award to me. Did you know a sassy Shih Tzu has a blog? You must go by and say hello to Sasha, she is so cute!!
